Must-Visit Date Night Spots

These are our top recommendations for date night places you need to visit in Omaha for a nice evening out on the town together.

All of these date night ideas have all been tried and vetted by yours truly — so you know they’re gonna be worth it.

Anna’s Place

Dreaming of a bar where you can actually hear each other talk without shouting across the table? Anna’s Place is where you wanna be. This speakeasy-style cocktail bar is calm, quiet, and dark — and serves up highly creative drinks. We stop back here frequently. Both for the top-notch cocktails and the friendly staff.

Saffron Urban Kitchen

I think the word “swanky” best describes the vibe of this restaurant. It’s upscale and sophisticated. Plus the food is delicious. I’d definitely revisit for another date night.

2935 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68144 (Rockbrook Village)

Barraco Wine Bar

We accidentally stumbled across this spot on a date night during the fall. Not only do they have great wine choices, they’re also serving up fantastic cocktails and light bites (gluten free options available, yay!). The interior is cozy, moody, and cool. Perfect for a relaxed evening out.

2935 S 108th St, Omaha, NE 68144 (Rockbrook Village)

Bad Seed Coffee & Supply

I already loved Bad Seed’s first location on Harney (Plants! Coffee! Fun vibes! What more could you want?) and was pumped to hear their new second location on Dodge is open in the evenings. Late night coffee hangout spots are not easy to find, which makes this a fantastic date night spot for a lowkey evening.

5015 Dodge St Suite #100, Omaha, NE 68132 (Dundee)

Beercade2

I’m a big fan of activity dates. There’s less pressure to keep up constant conversation. And the convo often flows easier when you’re actually doing something together. That’s why either Beercade in town (my preference is Beercade2) makes for a great date night activity. Grab a drink and use up those extra quarters you’ve got laying around by playing retro arcade games together. Plus they let you bring in outside food, if you want to pick up a bite to eat while you’re at it.

1423 S 13th St, Omaha, NE 68108 (Little Bohemia)

Clio

Our first time here was for my husband’s birthday dinner and it was definitely a memorable experience. The atmosphere was airy and beautiful, and then as the sun went down and te place got darker, the whole space felt so cozy — it set the perfect tone for a date night out. Not to mention, the food was incredible and each plate looked lovely.

1202 Howard St, Omaha, NE 68102 (Old Market)

Inkwell

This bar has the coolest vibe. It’s a small space so it doesn’t get too loud. The cocktail menu has a nice selection and the drinks are delicious. The few times I’ve stopped in here, they were playing punk covers of pop music over the speakers and it was so fun.

8716 Pacific St, Omaha, NE 68114 (Countryside Village)

Salted Edge

I’ve been lucky to have a lot of good meals at superb restaurants, and this is one of the places I don’t think you want to miss. From the atmosphere to the drinks and the dishes, everything has been well thought out. This restaurant is highly recommended for a special date night out.

110 S 243rd St, Waterloo, NE 68069

Corner Kitchen

If you want an understated, hole-in-the-wall place with a dang good menu — this one’s for you. There’s nothing fancy about this restaurant but the food is creative and flavorful, and the service is quick. Great for a casual date night stop.

4218 S 50th St, Omaha, NE 68117 (South O)

Spielbound

Another date night activity option! You can come here for the cafe, or the board games, or both. This is a great option if you want a coffee shop-type atmosphere, but also want to have an activity to fall back on if the conversation starts to lull. My husband and I came here on our very first date, and it was perfect. We chatted over coffee (or chai for me) for so long that we never actually got around to playing any games. But it was nice to know we had that as readily available option if we wanted it. The board game library is EXTENSIVE, so you surely won’t run out of options.

3229 Harney St, Omaha, NE 68131 (Midtown)

The Tenant

This spot is worth a visit for the atmosphere and the menu. We enjoyed our cocktails and the food portions were generous. The highlight for us was stopping into their (seasonal) rooftop rosé bar for after dinner drinks with a nice view of Benson.

6201 Maple St, Omaha, NE 68104 (Benson)
